Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

We readily accept our responsibility as a worldwide supplier of electronic goods and are participating in leading-edge efforts that benefit the environment.
WEEE
Currently, all Harris Broadcast Communications product shipments to the European Union are Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliant, as indicated by their CELENEC WEEE labeling:
We have registered with a not-for-profit B2B compliance scheme sponsored by Gambica for cost effective compliance coordination. As WEEE registration bodies come on line and recyclers in key geographies attain accreditation, we have plans to establish and maintain a compliant network to disposition end-of-life Harris Broadcast Communications products and sub-components in accordance with the legislation.
As of January 2006 all shipments to the EU are in compliance with the EC Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive. We do not use Nickel-Cadmium batteries in any of our products; hence all our shipments will be in compliance with the EC Battery Directive once it has been adopted.
RoHS
Our portfolio has been converted to comply with the EU directives regarding the Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and we are shipping RoHS compliant products. All converted products bear our RoHS compliant symbol:
